Courses on offer

For any Animal Scientist, a knowledge of management, nutrition, breeding, anatomy and the physiological and endocrinological processes of growth and reproduction is essential. All of these subjects, and more, are taught in a dynamic and experiential way, underpinned by research performed in the Discipline.

Courses offered in Animal Science and Poultry Science have been designed to ensure that students acquire analytical, reasoning, communication and computer literacy skills. These skills are developed by applying a problem-solving approach in each course, using real-life problems encountered in the animal and poultry industries. Class sizes are small and students are heavily involved in their own learning process.
